Millstone Cottage is over one hundred and fifty years old and was originally a tin-miners cottage. It has been extended a couple of times, and has evolved from a simple two up two down to a six bedroomed house.

Shaymoor Lane was originally the old Gloucester Road, and if followed will lead you out through Alveston. The area of Pilning is close to the Severn Estuary and enjoys views down through the lowlands and surrounding farms.

The area has enjoyed considerable investment in recent years, which has greatly enhanced the facilities and attractions locally, without spoiling the tranquility of the country-side in the locality.
